home in Stone Allerton

project roundup:

client: Private homeowner

location: Stone Allerton, UK

scope of works: New, accessible, self-build, two bedroom bungalow

The bungalow has been built within the extended garden of an existing bungalow, to create an energy efficient home for our client's mother.

It was designed to accommodate full wheelchair accessibility to allow for independent living for as long as possible. There are two bedrooms, and one can accommodate a live-in carer if required.

The bungalow is infill housing within the countryside but sits outside of the boundary of the local village. Planning was consented under legislation to support homeowners who want to be self-builders and have local connections.

The interiors were designed by Parker and Dot

Planning was obtained in 2021 and bungalow completed 2024.
